Aspen Tree Service
On Wednesday, April 12th, Aspen Tree Service/SavATree will be conducting dormant oil sprays on all Freeman maples and some Ash trees (weather permitting). Treatment will occur in all Sopris Meadows neighborhoods, as well as other areas around Willits. I have attached a map of the trees slated for treatment. This is a non-toxic mineral oil that is used to control overwintering insects on trees. There is no health concern to humans/pets in the area. The town has done this treatment many springs in the past in an effort to control several scale insects affecting our tree population.
The treatment is scheduled for completion first thing in the morning, starting around 7/8am. During this time, we ask that homeowners please move their cars off the road so treatment can proceed. Depending on speed of work and obstacles, the crew may return later in the week to treat missed trees.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation.
